NEXT DPP PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING
You are invited to the next DPP Public Information Meeting on Tuesday 26th August 2008 at 7pm in Crumlin Integrated College, Crumlin.
This will be a an opportunity to hear about local police performace from April 2008 to June 2008 (the 1st Quarter of this financial year) and to ask any questions you may have, or you can send your question to the DPP Manager in writing at the address on the right hand side of this page. This meeting is free and refreshments will be served afterwards.
Do you have a hearing impairment? Antrim DPP provides a hearing induction loop for all those using a hearing aid to enable them to participate in DPP Public meetings. If you are deaf then the DPP can provide signing facilities as well, please contact the DPP Manager for more information.
In order to give everyone who lives or works in the Antrim Borough, of all ages, the opportunity to have a real say in how local policing is provided, Antrim DPP organise open, public meetings, and invite the senior police officers to explain how the police are performing against the targets set and agreed with the DPP Members.
The purpose of these meetings are to provide a public forum for you the community to discuss issues of concern and to ask questions of the police as to how they propose to address these issues.

Welcome By Chair
As the Chair of Antrim DPP I would like to welcome you to this web site, which will explain a little about Antrim DPP and what it does. If you can not find the information you are looking for please contact the DPP Manager at Antrim Borough Council.
Antrim DPP was created in 2003 to give all local people who live or work anywhere in the Antrim Borough the opportunity to be able to influence how local policing is delivered and to make "local people shaping local policing” a reality.
There are 19 members of Antrim DPP (for more information on the members click on the tab "Antrim DPP Members" on the left side of this page). None of the members of Antrim DPP are part of the police (PSNI).
Members of Antrim DPP either individually or in small groups, would like to meet with as many of the community as possible, especially groups and businesses in the Borough, to discuss issues that concern you about crime and policing locally. please contact any of the DPP members or the DPP Manager to discuss arranging this.
The membership of the DPP is drawn from all areas of the Borough including: -
- Antrim Town
- Randalstown and Toomebridge
- Crumlin and Templepatrick

AIMS OF THE DPP
- Discuss local policing issues identified by the community with the local Area Commander of the PSNI, and feedback to the community on how the police plan to address these issues.
- Work with the Area Commander to prioritise these policing issues, and develop annual performance targets for the police to address these issues
- Monitor police performance against these targets published each year in the "local policing plan”
- Develop practical ways of obtaining the community’s co-operation in working with the police to prevent crime and protect our community.
