Local Policing Plan

Each year the senior management of the PSNI locally will set targets for performance of the police in the Antrim Area. The PSNI Antrim Area is exactly the same size as the Antrim Borough Council area.

These targets are set to to focus police activity on addressing the needs of the community, and the members of Antrim DPP are involved in the process of setting these targets.

The police use the information on local crime trends and reported crime statistics to identify targets. The DPP gain the views of the public as to what targets the public see as important, then together the DPP members and the Area Commander will discuss and agree the final targets for the following years policing plan.
