The Area Commander for Armagh is Chief Inspector Ken Mawhinney.  

Armagh Area Command Unit is part of the new E district of PSNI and is aligned with the boundaries of Armagh City and District Council area.  

The area comprises of the City of Armagh and the local towns of Keady, Markethill, Tandragee and Richhill in addition to 13 villages and 22 hamlets.  

It covers an area of 260 square miles and has a resident population of 54,263 (2001 Census).

Armagh District Command Unit is made up of three sectors and has six Police stations: City Sector (Armagh Station), Rural West Sector (Keady and Middletown Stations) and Rural East Sector (Tandragee, Loughgall and Markethill Stations).
