Meetings Held in Public

Armagh DPP will hold a minimum of four meetings in public a year. and two themed General Forums for Discussion.  Members of the Public can become involved in shaping their local police service in a number of ways.  For example:

  • Asking the District Commander questions by writing to the Chairperson of your DPP who will ask the question on your behalf at the next meeting in public
  • Asking a DPP Member to ask a question on your behalf, or
  • Attending the meeting in public and asking your question in person (all meetings are advertised publicly 14 days in advance)

General Forums for discussion

A General Forum for Discussion is an event held to allow members of the public and DPP members to discuss a theme that is of interest to people in Armagh.  In 2006 the DPP held two General Forum meetings on Parades and Policing and on Anti-social behaviour.  In 2007 Armagh DPP held two General Forum meetings, one on Hate Crime and one on Drugs and Alcohol issues.
