Issues of Concern

Ballymena DPP is accessible to the public and provides ways in which any resident or worker in the borough can raise an issue by tabling a question for the District Commander.

The DPP Manager (Peter Greenshields) and the Secretary (Mary Magill) are based in the Council Offices ‘Ardeevin’.  Both are available to take calls from the public on issues of local concern throughout the year.

Each member of Ballymena DPP has been assigned to an electoral area in the borough.  So if you are concerned about crime and the policing of your area you will know whom to contact.

If any group feels that their issue requires more than a tabled question, they should submit a written request to the DPP, at least seven days before the meeting to make a ten-minute presentation on their concern to the partnership.

Community consultation in the form of surveys and focus groups provide the public with another avenue to highlight any issue they consider should be brought to the attention of the police.
