Meetings

The Ballymena DPP aims to hold six Public Meetings each year (Four Public Meetings monitor the performance of the local police and two are held as general forums for discussion) and five Private Business meetings per year.  Sub-Group meetings are held as and when required and the Standing Orders allows for a Special Private Meeting to be called in an emergency.

Apart from Public Meetings and private business meetings the DPP would hold special meetings to consult the community on pertinent issues.

Some independent members, the Community Safety Officer and the DPP Manager facilitate focus groups with various sections of the community.

Members are also nominated to participate in Community Police Liaison Communities across the borough.

Members are assigned to designated electoral areas in the borough and will attend community and residents association meetings in their designated area as part of the community outreach programme.
