Format of Meetings
Public Meetings to monitor police performance
This Public Meeting has two parts; the first part is like a mini private meeting were the DPP conduct a small amount of business in Reserve Matters before the public session.
The public session follows a standard format; Chairman’s welcome, presentation by a group to the partnership (If a group has made a request), the District Commander’s report to the meeting, questions tabled by the public and any other items that arise from the meeting or due to the concerns of the public.
Public Meetings to act as a forum for discussion
Discussion forums will follow the general pattern of introduction by the Chairman and the host if appropriate, presentation by the police on the discussion topic, smaller round table discussions and feedback to all participants.
Private Meeting
The Private meeting follows the pattern of any standard business meeting as outlined in section 11 of the Standing Orders. The format does however allow for a group to make a presentation to the partnership in the same manner, as a group will do at a public meeting.
Sub-Group Meeting
The format of this meeting would be similar to a private meeting.
Other Meetings
There would be no standard format for other meetings such as workshops, focus groups and problem solving as there is no hard and fast agenda items given that purpose it to explore topics. As such the format will be determined by the style of the facilitator and the response of the participants.
CPLC meetings may be more informal than DPP private meetings and like the meetings considered in the previous paragraph it is determined by the style of the chairperson.
