Postal Survey

The Central Survey Unit of the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) was commissioned to carry out a public consultation survey on behalf of the Northern Ireland Policing Board and District Policing Partnerships.  This is the third District Policing Partnership Survey to be carried out by the Central Survey Unit of the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency, the previous surveys having been carried out in 2003 and 2004.

This postal survey involved questionnaires being sent out to 60,000 households across Northern Irealdn, selected at random from the Valuation and Lands Agency list of addresses.  Unique identifiers were included with the questionnaires to enable results to be broken down by District Command Unit (DPP boundaries are identical to District Command Unit boundaries).

Within the Belfast City Council area the table below details the top three concerns within each of the police districts:
