Consultation Process
One of the main remits of the Belfast District Policing Partnership is to ensure that local policing is responsive to local needs. Each year Belfast District Policing Partnership conducts a research programme aimed at informing the District Commanders of the policing priorities of the public.
Postal Survey
The Central Survey Unit of the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) was commissioned to carry out a public consultation survey on behalf of the Northern Ireland Policing Board and Belfast District Policing Partnership. The first of these surveys took place in June 2003 with further surveys conducted during June 2004 and June 2006. Each survey took the form of a postal survey which involved questionnaires being sent to households across Northern Ireland, selected at random, from the Valuation and Lands Agency list of addresses.
