In addition to the Northern Ireland Policing Plan within which objectives are set for the PSNI across
Northern Ireland, local policing plans are developed for each District Command Unit.
Castlereagh's Local Policing Plan highlights issues which are of particular relevance to Castlereagh Borough. These issues were identified through the Consultation Process. Within this process, through surveys, consultation forums and focus groups, the local community emphasised the serious issues within the Borough which they wanted to the PSNI to give priority to. From this the local PSNI has set targets for the police to achieve in dealing with each of these issues.
