In June of 2004, a local community survey was carried out within the Borough. This was a postal survey issued to 1 in every 10 households in the Borough. It aimed to gain the views of the local community on policing priorities and problems, satisfaction with policing and knowledge of the DPP and other groups dealing with policing and community safety issues.
The results of this survey can be viewed here.
This survey will be carried out every two years and the results will form the basis of the DPP’s ongoing consultation as well as advising the District Commander of the priorities which the local community feel should be included in his local policing plan. In his 2006-2007 local policing plan the District Commander will prioritise the issues of Domestic Burglary, vehicle crime and criminal damage including anti-social behaviour.
A survey will be carried out during Spring 2006 and the results of this will be posted on this website once available.
