Issues of concern

As the Members of the Partnership undertake their civic role on behalf of the wider community to ensure neighbourhoods within the district are safe for every one to enjoy, issues of concern around the occurrence of crime are brought to the attention of the local police on a regular basis.    Issues which are raised and discussed at both business and public meetings of the Partnership.

Although the Partnership highlights, to the police issues which they should be concentrating their resources in local policing plans, it also draws their attention to the concerns raised by local residents throughout the business year.  Issues which have included, anti-social and unruly behaviour by young adults; misuse of car parking bays thus causing traffic congestion; annoyance caused by underage drinking; vandalism in public spaces; and speeding traffic and dangerous driving within certain parts of the district.

If you have an issue which you wish raised with the District Commander please put it in writing to the District Policing Partnership Manager. All comments received will be brought before the next meeting of the Partnership for discussion.
