Key Objectives

The District Command Unit (DCU) in compiling local plans in conjunction with the District Policing Partnership (DPP) must set a series of objectives which are reflective of the policing needs of the district.

Although the objectives do not include everything the local police can, and must deal with, they do however enable the DCU to focus on priority areas which are specific to the needs of the district.  This being the case, local plans should be read in conjunction with corresponding province-wide annual policing plans.

Each objective has a series of performance indicators and targets attached, upon which the DPP monitors their implementation at meetings in public session.
