Police Performance

Members of the District Policing Partnership (DPP) during meetings held in public session monitor quarterly, six monthly and year-end reports, providing constructive feedback to the District Commander on local arrangements and on targets set for the policing of the district.

As required under the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 the District Commander, or other nominated person delivers the District Command Unit’s report on the policing of the district at such meetings, to which the public are invited to attend.

The monitoring role undertaken by Partnership Members ensures the District Command Unit is implementing the objectives and targets as set out in the local policing plan in the most efficient manner possible.  As a result of each meeting in public session a report is compiled detailing the business undertaken, District Command Unit reports delivered, questions submitted by the public and monitoring carried out by Members.
