The main roles and responsibilities of Craigavon DPP are to:
- Consult with the local community on local policing issues
- Assist in establishing priorities for the local policing plan
- Monitor the performance of the police in carrying out the local policing plan
- Develop ways of gaining the co-operation of the local community in working with the police to prevent crime
- Act as a general forum for discussion on matters affecting the policing of the area
