Derry DPP was established in March 2003 as a partnership between the District Council and representatives of the local community.
Derry DPP has many important responsibilities for example:
- Monitoring local police performance
- Giving a voice to community views on policing
- Establishing policing priorities
- Gaining the public's cooperation to prevent crime.
