Meetings in Private
Down DPP holds its meetings in private in the Down Council Chamber, 24 Strangford Road, Downpatrict.
Attendance at private meetings is by invitation.
Meetings in Public
Down DPP hold six meetings in public each year. Three of the meetings are held in the three main towns of Downpatrict, Ballynahinch and Newcastle with three at various locations across the District.
Questions received in writing are put to the District Commander and copies of the question are displayed on a screen to allow the public to view.
Once the question has been answered by the District Commander, members of the DPP may question him on his response. Both members of the DPP and members of the public in attendance may ask supplementary questions regarding the areas raised in the written question.
