Community Consultation

One of the main functions of the District Policing Partnerships is:

  • To make arrangements for obtaining the views of the public about matters concerning the policing of the district.

To date the following surveys have been completed:

  • In May 2003 a survey was carried out across Northern Ireland by the Northern Ireland Statistical Research Agency (NISRA).
  • During 2004 the Down DPP carried out a number of focus groups across the District to substantiate the 2003 NISRA survey findings.
  • Also this year in June 2004 NISRA again carried out another survey on behalf of DPPs across Northern Ireland
