With a membership of 17 the DPP is a partnership between Dungannon & South Tyrone District Council and representatives of the local community. Consisting of nine Councillors and eight independent members.
The Police Act (NI) 2000 gives District Councils the authority to determine the size of its own District Policing Partnership.
The Councillors were elected using the D’Hondt system. The independent members were appointed by the Northern Ireland Policing Board.
