Meetings will be rotated throughout the Borough to ensure everyone has an opportunity to attend a meeting. It is our intention to reach as wide as cross section of the community as possible
Format and Protocols for public meetings
At least 14 days before the date on which a meeting is due to be held it should be publicly advertised.
At least 8 days before the meeting the District Commander should be informed of any issues that have been raised in written questions where the police would be expected to provide an answer
After usual meeting formalities the minutes of the previous meeting in public are ratified.
The District Commander presents his/her report.
Members of the DPP will then be provided with an opportunity to question the Police commander on the report or other matters of significant interest arising in the Borough since the date of the previous meeting.
