Monitoring Local Police Performance

One of the key functions of Dungannon and South Tyrone DPP is to monitor police performance.

Dungannon and South Tyrone DPP monitors the effectiveness and efficiency of the police at its meetings in public.  The DPP measures the PSNI's performance in working towards achievement of the targets set out in the Annual/Northern Ireland Policing Plan and the Local Policing Plan pertaining to the Borough.  During the period ending 31 March 2007, Dungannon and South Tyrone DPP held five meetings in public. The PSNI Area Commander attended these meetings and responded to questions from DPP members and members of the public.
