A key legal requirement of DPPs is to make arrangements for obtaining the views of the public about matters concerning the policing of the District.
Each year Fermanagh DPP will undertake an extensive survey of the District to meet this requirement and to establish priorities for the local Policing Plan. The surveys will also assist the DPP in focusing attention on those areas of most concern to the local community
During 2006 the consultation process involved

- ·Reivew of the Questions Asked at Meetings in Public
- ·Focus Groups with the Polish Community, Women's Aid, Elderly, Men's Network, Parents and Toddlers Groups and Young People in the Criminal Justice System
- ·Consultative meeting with local CPLCs.
The subsequent Fermanagh DPP Consultation Report 2007 was published in September 2007
