WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP TO PREVENT CRIME

Larne District Policing Partnership is committed to helping to prevent crime.  We also feel, however , that helping to allay the fear of crime is an important issue within the local community.  To this end Larne DPP have a very close working relationship with the Larne Community Safety Partnership having worked together on projects such as the Neighbourhood Watch Schemes currently running in the Borough.  Larne at the moment has nine fully operational Neighbourhood Watch Schemes.  The Larne PSNI Community Safety Team had initially hoped for eight schemes by the year end but as figures show they have superceded their own expectations, due mainly to the dedication and committment of Inspector Harry Millar and Sergeant Gary McMaster of the Community Safety Team.
