Limavady DPP seeks to: 'engage with the public in order to impact on local policing, so that Limavady Borough becomes a safer place for everyone'.

Limavady Borough lies in the north west of the Province, covers an area of 586 sq km, and transacted by the two main arterial routes from Belfast to Derry (A2) and from Donegal to the Causeway coast (A6).  It is an area of outstanding natural beauty, with five areas designated as areas of special scientific interest, resulting in a transient tourist population.

The Borough is also served by a ferry service between Magilligan and Greencastle, Co Donegal and is in close proximity to the City of Derry Airport and Lisahally deep water Port.  The University of Ulster has two campuses each within 16 miles of the Limavady town, and a College of Further and Higher Education which attracts students from Donegal and further afield.
