Bike Safe Poster Competition

BICYCLE SAFETY AND SECURITY

To raise awareness of cycle safety and to address the seasonal trend of bicycle theft primarily from front gardens, the Neighbourhood Policing Teams in association with Limavady District Policing Partnership took the opportunity to visit each primary school in the Borough, talk about Cycle Safety and Security, and to launch a poster competition.

Constable Caroline Neill announcing the winners said “this competition allowed the Police and the DPP to engage with all of the schools in the Borough and to encourage our future leaders to protect their heads, to wear a helmet, be visible and also to reduce the risk of it being stolen by marking it with a property marking pen and making sure it is locked up at night”.
