How to ask questions

Members of the public can ask a question in the following ways:

  • in person at the meeting
  • by writing to the Lisburn District Policing Partnership, FREEPOST NAT 2033, Lisburn, BT27 4BR
  • by email: dpp@lisburn.gov.uk
  • by fax: 082 9250 9418
  • by asking a Member of the DPP to raise a question on their behalf

As the District Commander may not have all the information to hand to provide full answers to questions raised in person at the meetings, it is advisable to submit questions prior to the meeting.  Such questions require to be submitted at least 10 days prior to the date of the meeting.

There are circumstances in which information cannot be provided, as outlined below:

  • it is in the interests of national security
  • it would endanger the security of one or more individuals
  • it relates to an individual and is of a sensitive personal nature
  • it involves information that the police are holding in confidence from another agency
  • it would, or would be likely to, prejudice proceedings which have been commenced in a court of law
  • it would, or would be likely to, prejudice the prevention or detection of crime or the apprehension or prosecution of offenders
