Key Objectives of the Newry and Mourne Local Policing Plan
Every year the PSNI have to produce a local policing plan in co-operation with the DPP. This plan outlines the policing priorities in the Newry and Mourne District, and contains targets set by the Northern Ireland Policing Board. The plan also reflects local policing priorities the general public and the DPP have been consulted on. The local policing plan is the mechanism through which the DPP and the public can hold the police to account, and it is this that the District Commander reports progress on at the Meetings in Public of the DPP.
