Obtaining the views of the public on matters concerning the policing of Newry and Mourne
Newry and Mourne DPP will consult with the community on an ongoing basis to find out what the main local policing issues are and obtain your views on the policing of the district. The information obtained from the consultation will be used as a basis for discussion between the police and the DPP to inform the local policing plan. This will be acheived through a combination of the following
- A public consultation survey every two years
- Public Consultative Forum meetings to enable communities to present their views on policing and the issues that affect them
- Focus group sessions to consolidate issues raised in the survey and at DPP meetings; and,
- Ongoing consultations with community groups\ forums with an interest in the policing of their area and community DPP
