Format of Meetings

Meetings in public are held once every two months.  The venues are rotated throughout the Borough to ensure everone has an opportunity to attend a meeting reasonably near their home or work address.  This does not preclude anyone from atttending any other or all meetings in public.

Format

After usual meeting formalities the minutes of the previous meeting in public are ratified.

The District Commander presents his/her report.

Members of the DPP will then be provided with an opportunity to question the Police commander on the report or other matter of significant interest arising in the Borough since the date of the previous meeting.

The Chairman will then invite members of the public to put their questions to the Policve commander and he will be requested to respond.

Subsequent questions may be permitted by the Chairman for clarification.

After members of the public have put their questions the Chairman will invite members of the DPP to put any specific questions to the Police Commander

The Police Commander may decline to answer any question which is of a security or sensitivenature or which may relate to an ongoing investigation
