In accordance with the Code of Practice for the operation of District Policing Partnerships provision is made for any person living or working in North Down or any person directly affected by the policing of North Down to direct a question to the PSNI District Commander. Such questions shall be raised through the Chairman of the DPP and responded to by the District Commander at a meeting of the DPP in public. Alternatively members of the public may ask a member of the DPP to raise an issue or ask a question on their behalf.
Questions are not required in writing in advance of the meeting however written questions may receive a more detailed response. Written questions should be sent to the DPP Manager a week in advance of the Meeting in public.
Time permitting questions are frequently taken from the floor during the meeting.
The PSNI will endeavour to provide information requested by the public but this may be restricted in cases where it may cause a breach of confidentiality or security.
Please use the following link to submit your questions to the North Down District Policing Partnership and indicate the meeting in public at which it is to be raised.
Alternatively you may contact the DPP Manager in writing at the following address:

Sample questions raised at previous meetings are as follows:
What steps can a member of the public take to protect their family/property against burglars/intruders (in the event of PSNI not responding to a call)
Can I be assured that one of the tasks that will be pointed up for early review is the number of active PSNI personnel in North Down which has the disadvantage that VIP escorts are contained within the overall number of staff but are not available for active duty on the streets.
Can the District Commander detail what initiatives the PSNI are putting in place to curb “drink driving” over the Christmas period.
