Who can Attend


Members of the public are encouraged to attend meetings in public of the DPP and view at first hand the District Commanders response to questions from the public and Members.  The Meetings are advertised 14 days in advance in the local press.

Invitations are also issued to interested parties.  If you wish to be included on the mailing list please contact:

This meeting offers the opportunity for the public to learn about initiatives being undertaken by the Police, how issues of crime and community safety are being addressed and to observe the District Commander’s response to questions.  

At monitoring meetings the District Commander will present his report as to how the PSNI have met their local policing objectives as contained in the local policing plan for the Borough .

Questions will be taken from the floor on issues of crime and policing in North Down.  Questions are not required in writing, however written questions will generally receive a more detailed answer than those taken at the meeting.
