The Area Commander presented reports regarding the delivery of both the Northern Ireland policing plan, as it related to the district and the local Area Command Unit policing plan to the North Down DPP on an ongoing basis. Where available, totals for the previous financial year are provided.

The Area Commander presented reports regarding the delivery of both the Northern Ireland policing plan as it related to the district and the local policing plan to the North Down DPP on an ongoing basis. The North Down DPP monitored the Area Command Unit’s performance towards the agreed targets and when targets where not met questioned the Area Commander.
Information was also provided to Members upon request such as the numbers killed or seriously injured. Members also requested amendments to the format of the reports to ensure clarity. Where available totals for the previous financial year were provided for comparison.
At the end of the financial year 2007-2008, the Area Commander advised North Down DPP of the District Command Unit’s performance in relation to the Local and Annual Policing Plan.
