LAUNCH OF OMAGH LOCAL POLICING PLAN 2008-2009
The District Policing Plan 2008 - 2009 launched in April 2008, outlines policing priorities and targets for the Omagh District Command Unit (DCU) from April 2008 until March 2009
The policing plan priorities established in the 2008 -09 District Policing Plan are reflective of the DPP local consultation carried out in the previous year. The DPP will monitor the PSNI’s performance in addressing these priorities throughout the year which aim to see among other things a reduction on violent crime, a reduction of serious violent crimes, burglaries, thefts and the number of people killed or seriously injured on the road.
Chairperson of Omagh DPP Cllr Allan Rainey, MBE welcomes the publication of the local policing plan . He stated at the launch of the policing plan in Omagh District Council Offices that 'the plan places a marker upon which the District Policing Partnership will monitor and measure police performance throughout 2008-2009 and ensure police are delivering on the policing needs of the district'.
Hard copies of the Plan are available from the DPP Manager at Omagh District Council Offices and from local PSNI stations within Omagh DCU. You can download a copy of the Plan by clicking here.
