CPLCs are local forums which enable the police and the community discuss local issues and concerns.
CPLCs are established to:
- Liase with the Neighbourhood Policing Team regarding specific policing and crime issues.
- Encourage greater public participation in the prevention and solution of crime
- Assist in measures designed to reduce the level of crime
- Provide education, information and practical assistance on crime prevention for the community
There are 7 CPLCs in Strabane District:
- Strabane CPLC
- Castlederg CPLC
- Newtownstewart CPLC
- Donemana CPLC
- Sion Mills CPLC
- Ballymagorry and Artigarvan CPLC
- Burndennett, Bready and Magheramason CPLC
