The message delivered on the night was for all business owners to mimimise cash holding on their premises, to be vigilant and take percautions when opening and closing their premises and the transporting of monies to the bank.
Following a brief on credit card fraud, delegates were free to visit the many stand on display. Three major private sector organisations had displays on business surveillance equipment, CCTV, intruder and panic alarms, shutters, smoke screen secuirty, under floor, time locking and freestanding safes and also cash in transit delivery systems.
The PSNI crime prevention branch also were in attendance giving out free panic alarms and advice on business and home security. Strabane DPP hosted a stand offering counterfeit detector pens, property marking pens, business security information and advice. Strabane Community Safety Partnership also had a stand offering panic alarms, wristbands and advice.
