FAQ

How can I contact the DPP?

Strabane DPP is administered from Strabane District Council Offices.  The Manager and Staff are based at this location and most issues relating to the DPP can be directed to them.  Members of the DPP can also be contacted through the DPP Manager.

How do I raise an issue or ask a question with the DPP?

There are a number of ways to ensure that your issue will be raised. One method is to submit a written question to Strabane DPP. This is the most formal of methods, however, all written questions receive a personalised response from the District Commander. Another method is to present your issue to a DPP member who will raise it for you. Alternatively, you can attend a meeting in public and raise the issue yourself.

Strabane DPP have always facilitated questions from members of the public during meetings in public.Strabane DPP urge all members of the public to attend their meetings to participate meaningfully in this new process. Getting policing right and keeping our communities safe must be everyone’s responsibility.”

How can I become involved in the work of the DPP?

Strabane DPP is committed to bringing the debate on policing and crime to all sections of the community throughout the district. We endeavour to meet in accessible venues in various locations. All meetings in public are widely advertised and letters of invitation are sent to individuals on our mailing list. All members of the public are welcome to attend our meetings in public and participate meaningfully in this process.

If you wish to be added to our mailing list please contact the DPP Manager.

Strabane DPP also fund local Community Police Liasion Committees in Strabane Town, Sion Mills, Castlederg, Artigarvan,Ballymagorry, Newtownstewart, Plumbridge and Donemana. These meetings faciliate more focused discusssions on local issues with the respective community policing.
